The Church of Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Jinín - introducing rural religious architecture from around Strakonice
Abstract
The article presents a brief presentation of the results historical construction survey conducted in 2010-2011 on the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Jinín. It is a rural church, which is located near the southern Bohemian town of Strakonice.
The above description of the major architectural parts of the building outlines in greater detail the issue of determine medieval construction phase at its core. Looking at the overall construction history of this object can just highlight the medieval stage of construction, were subsequently proposed two solutions in the composition of its different phases.
Need for additional specialized surveys is indisputable. Conservation value of the object, however, despite these uncertainties unambiguous.
