Abstract
This article reacts on the study of Pavel Keřkovský. Keřkovský´s thesis, that the apodictic law in the Bible serves as a tool of theological and ethical reflection is also applied to the genre of the casuistic law, with reference to recent literary approaches to the study of biblical law.
Theological and ethical dimension of casuistic texts is illustrated on two passages: Ex 22,22-26 and Dt 25,5-10.
