Land surveyor Johann Glocksperger and his maps of regions

Publication |
2013

Abstract

This essay discusses a unique (and extant only in fragmentary form) collection of maps of the czech regions. The maps were produced probably in the first half of the 18th century by the cartograph Johann Glocksperger (1689–1771), who had not yet received substantial scholarly attention.

The study also briefly outlines his life fortunes and notes his cartographic works.
