Abstract
Skin plays an important role in inntae and adaptive immuity defense against the irrtiants, microbs and allergens, but also autoimmune and autoinflamamtory reactions occure here. All forms of allergic/immune reactions that have been described till now can be seen here, with drug reactions as an illustrative example.
Atopic dermatitis represnts a pivotal interdisciplinary dermato-allergologic entity. The increae in the poulation has been explained not only by hygien the hypothesis, but recently by the hapten hypothesis.
For long-term management of atopic dermatitis and thus the mitigations of atopic march i tis neceséry to do the proper skincare regularly and in an individualized way, to reduce the microbial colonization of skin and mucosa and to supress the inflammation by correct use of topical corticosteroids and immunomodulators. As to the prophylaxis of triggering factors - the irritative play a greater role than the allergic ones.
