Abstract
Glycemia control is one of the most discussed topics of current intensive medicine. Doubts are raised about both the universality of intensive glycemia control, and especially on its safety in terms of potential damage to patients by episodes of hypoglycemia.
The aim of this text is to try to summarize the currently available facts on that issue.
