This article reviews neurobahavioural disturbances associated with multiple sclerosis (MS). Pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment data are presented fot those conditions, that are increasingly being recognized as a common and disabling symptoms of MS: depression, anxiety and cognitive dysfunction.
Therapy is often successful, leading to improvement in quality of life for patients. Thus, all health professionals involved in the care of MS patients should have a good working knowledge of the neurotherapeutics of MS- related behavioural disorders
