Non-cancer late sequelae of therapy for germ cell tumours

Abstract

The cure rate of testicular germ cell tumours is among the highest of all malignancies. However, therapy for TGN leads to an increased risk of various long-term complications including neurotoxicity, cardiotoxicity, endocrine disturbances, and fertility problems.

Awareness, screening and timely therapy for these complications can decrease morbidity and mortality in this population.
