Pontin is localized in nucleolar fibrillar centers

Abstract

Using two different monoclonal antibodies we have detected for the first time Pontin in nucleoli, particularly in nucleolar fibrillar centers. By functional experiments we pointed to the role of Pontin in regulation of c-Myc dependent rRNA synthesis.
