Abstract

Cigarette smoking is the most important modifiable risc factor for premature development of cardiovascular diseases, the most common cause of death in the current world. The komplex effect of more than 45000 chemical components of cigaretce smoke is behind 5 million deaths annually.

The passive exposure to cigaretce smoke is equally dangerous for human health. Smoking leads to triggering and maintaining of pathological changes in the vegetative nervous systém, damages vascular reaktivity, creates a procoagulant condition, starts and accelerates inflammation in the vascular wall, changes the spektrum of blood lipids, and participatesin the development of insulin resistence.

Ultimately cigarete (tobacco) kill half of its users.
