Abstract
This article asks for the condition the human body must have that it could be both violent and vulnerable. It differentiates between a meaning body (“Sinnleib”), orientating body (“Richtungsleib”), and bordering body (“Grenzleib”) and shows how only the latter one is the basic bodily status of human beings.
