This Dissertation Thesis is focused on two methods which can be used to assess the environmental impacts of products: life cycle assessment (LCA) and input output analysis (IOA). Because of a general methodological demand of IOA one aim of this Thesis is to work out a generalized guide how should be the input output model worked out and what it should include to be applicable in LCA studies.
The exemplary study, where IOA data are used to fill in the data gap, is an LCA case study of floating wind power plant. The third part of this Thesis contains a practical data set, which can be used for data estimation in LCA studies.
This data set is based on IOA and it contains selected airborne emissions and fossil fuel consumption from whole production chain of different product categories.
