Guidelines for the treatment of invasive fungal infections in immunocompromised patients

Abstract

A national expert panel prepared evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of established invasive fungal infections. In this article, the first one of a series of three, the evidence criteria of IDSA used for assessing the quality of clinical trials, and EORTC/MSG Consensus Group for definitions of invasive fungal disease, are presented.
