Abstract
The aim of the project ATLET was the monitoring of common prevention/therapeutic care provided by general practitioners to their patients with elevated risk of cardiovascular diseases. This was based on Guidelines for GPs.
In aspect of occurrence of MS, 379 GPs have during years 2005-2006 monitored profiles of 5293 patients. By applying of complex intervention in influencing of the risk factors a decrease of 24% in MS was observed.
The data also showed, that every second patient suffering from hypertension or dyslipidemia suffers from MS as well.
