Abstract

Occupational therapy is a field of medical rehabilitation, which helps patients deal with practical issues related to reduction or loss of self-care in activities which are indispensable for life. This supports their active integration into society and helps to maintain their optimum quality of life.

Occupational therapy clients are people, which have due to illness, injury, developmental defects, or aging process difficulty in performing everyday activities. Occupational therapist primarily performed training in activities of daily living (eg personal hygiene, dressing, transfers, meal preparation, shopping, money management).
