Abstract
Tumor markers are substances that often arise in connection with altered metabolism of tumor-transformed cells, and therefore their levels in malignant diseases are rising dramatically. Serum tumor markers are important parameters that may facilitate the prediction of disease development, progression or regression (remission) in cancer patients.
