The general insurance company supported screening of thyroid gland diseases in pregnancy

Abstract

The pilot projects aim was to confirm possibilities of universal (general) screening in the first trimester of pregnancy. Almost 3000 women in 9.-11. week of pregnancy were examined, in 4% of asymptomatic women lowered TG function was found, and next 7-8% of women were TPOab positive.
