Abstract
Recurrence of colorectal cancer in the retroperitoneum is usually ranked among the locoregional recurrence. Literary communication on this topic are rare.
The relapse in the retroperitoneum is usually identified as locally bounded relapse in the retroperitoneum, which is outside the "bed" of the original tumor. It arises from the infiltrated lymph nodes outside the catchment area, and less often from tumor deposits outside lymph nodes and primary tumor.
