Resectability of colorectal cancer relapse

Publication

Abstract

The goal of all follow up systems after curative resection for colorectal cancer is improvement of long time survival. The possibility of subsequent surgery with currative intent for relapse or metachronous colorectal cancer seems to be higher in early diagnosis.Intensive follow up facilitates early diagnosis of recurrence and precise indication for surgery which results in high resectability and minimizes useless operations.
