Tumours of the oral cavity, jaws and face - I. part

Abstract

Cancer of the mouth accounts for 3-5% of all malignant tumours in Czech Republic. Globally it is the 6th commonest cause of cancer - related death.

More than 2 000 new cases of the oral cancer are registered per year in the CZR. Oral cancer is langely preventable.

Overall mortality rate is 50%.
