New findings of the treatment of osteoporosis

Abstract

Osteoporotic fractures result from changes in bone mass, architecture and/or quality. In most instances these changes result from an imbalance between bone resorption and formation during the remodeling cycle.

Therapeutic intervention can decrease bone resorption (anti-resorptives) and/or increase bone formation (anabolic).
