Abstract
Teaching of Radiobiology began in the Czech Republic in the 50th - 60 20th century, when this subject was compulsory for all medical faculties. After 1989, Radiobiology recited only at the Military Medical Academy of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Hradec Kralove.
It wasn't even in the syllabus of postgraduate training, only some of the topics were lectured during oncology lectures. To return to teaching radiobiology was beginning of the 21st century as a result of systematic and methodical efforts of the professional society for radiobiology and crisis management.
