Abstract

Haematopoietic stem cell transplantation in treatment of non-tumourous diseases in adulthood Haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HCST) is a segment of medical care undergoing remarkably dynamic developments. The most common indications for HCST include multiple myeloma for autologous transplantations, and acute myelogenous leukaemia for allogeneic transplantations.

A not insignificant proportion of patients indicated for HCST suffer from non-tumourous conditions; this article is primarily concerned with autoimmune diseases.
