Due to its geological subsoil, the Czech Republic belongs to countries, in which the annual effective dose of radon radiation per individual is twice as high as the worldwide average value. Competent authorities attempt to adopt provisions aimed at reducing this load, since the estimates of consequences associated with the inhalation of radioactive radon in the Czech Republic are for 900 fatal outcomes from lung cancer every year, which accounts for about 15% of all the persons, who die due to this disease.
