Proteinuria in outpatient practice

Abstract

Proteinuria is one of the symptoms of kidney damage. It can be present as a small amount of albumin in the urine (microalbuminuria) or as nephrotic syndrome.

Examination of the test strip is only a guide and a negative result does not necessarily exclude renal disease.
