Abstract
Review describes what is a PFO, how it is diagnosed and what are the possibilities to close atrial septum defects by means of introvuction an occluder via catheter. The influence of PFO on unprovocated decompression inless occuring in divers is discussed and supplemented with results of our screeneing done on more than 150 divers.
