Coronary artery perforation during percutaneous intervention

Abstract

The basis of percutaneous coronary intervention is most naproasté dilation segment coronary artery stent or balloon inflated inside the artery. The balloon is inflated using pressures around 6 to 20 atmospheres.

Therefore no surprise that in some cases can lead to perforation or rupture of the treated artery
