Bronchial Asthma - Practical Approach to diagnosis and treatment in children up to 5 years.

Abstract

Asthma in infants and small children is difficult to distinguish from non-asthmatic wheezing. The clinical presentation is in both conditions similar.

The diagnosis is usually set after observation for some time. Treatment of both conditions is the same and is guided mainly by severity of disease presentation.
