Abstract
The relation between the incidence of stroke and blood levels of lipids and lipoproteins and the role of dyslipidemia therapy in stroke prevention are still discussed. Attention is paid in practicular to the strinking discrepancy between the results of epidemiological observation studies and intervention studies.
