Abstract

Article analyses occupational dermatoses in Czech republic in years 1992–2007. The most frequent diagnosis is the occupational contact eczema, the most common cause of sensitization are plastics, agents used in rubber processing, petroleum derivates, chromate and its allied substances and desinfectants.

The most common cause of occupational irritation dermatitis are petroleum derivates and surfactants. The most important professional infections include scabies in health-care workers and zoonoses as trichophytosis and erysipeloid.

The number of occupational dermatoses decreases in recent years due to improvement of production technology, restructuring of some production branches and improvement of workplace sanitary conditions.
