Fibroblast Growth Factor-2 regulates proliferation of cardiac myocytes in normal and hypoplastic left ventricles in the developing chick

Abstract

This study shows that exogenous FGF2 delivered via adenoviral vector can induce myocyte proliferation in both normal and hypoplastic chick embryonic ventricle independent of hemodynamic loading.
