Mapping the ribonucleolytic active site of bovine seminal ribonuclease. The binding of pyrimidinyl phosphonucleotide inhibitors

Abstract

BS-RNase is an antitumor agent with severe side effects. In this study potent inhibitors of BS-RNase (phosphonucleotides) were prepared and mapped.

In vivo studies on the side effects have shown that the inhibitors inhibit significantly these undesirable effects (aspermatogenicity, immunosuppression).
