Cancer screening programs in the Czech Republic has information support using epidemiological, clinical and administrative data. These data sources can be used for continuous monitoring of quality and to evaluate the overall impact of screening programs.
Available data demonstrate the high quality of provided examinations in the international context, and ongoing monitoring of programs helps to their positive development and reducing disparities between different providers. However, it is still insufficient participation of the target population.
Prerequisite for the success of programs at the population level must be effective steps for the higher interest of citizens in preventive examinations.
