Ladder-like amplification of the type I interferon gene cluster in the human osteosarcoma cell line MG63

Abstract

We have deciphered the organization of the IFN gene cluster in the human cell line using a combination of FISH and advances in chomosomal analysis. We presented a model for the generation of the IFN chromosome that involves breakage-fusion-bridge events.
