Abstract
The article deals with leading management education of nurses in the Czech Republic from the 50th of the last century to the present. An important milestone in the education of nurses was established Centre for the Far training paramedical workers in 1960 in Brno.
The obligation to educate the first time defined the Law No. 20/1966 Coll. the public health care. In the article we focus on specialization, which prepares the nurse for their management work.
In 1973 formed superstructure segment specialization in work organization and management of secondary health care workers, which has undergone changes over time. After 1989, training in the management of the program dealt with the imported Project HOPE and the number of accredited educational programs in higher schools focusing on medical management.
