Abstract
The article deals with the differences in nursing that go with it from its earliest beginnings to the present. It focuses on the gendered nature of employment of nurses, to what extent is nursing "women's work".
The next section deals with the interaction sister - a doctor from the perspective of the traditional roles of men and women. Trying to grasp the changing nature of nursing professionalism.
Nursing has always contained a high degree of uncertainty and insecurity, as is evident from the description of Henderson on the "unique role" nurse. However, the uncertainty of the nursing work is not sufficiently recognized or rewarded.
Thus, the nursing profession gained more features, the sisters try to care about the public recognition as a valuable activity. Leaders of nursing declared eligible for professionalism on the basis of "holistic" or "individual" care that recognizes the unique needs of each individual patient.
