A unified quantification of deterministic and stochastic biological effects of ionizing radiation

Abstract

The paper deals with the assessment of biological effects currently used in the present system of quantities in radiation protection and proposes a new quantity, namely the deterministic effective dose, which may be considered as an alternative quantity to the stochastic effective dose.
