Heart rate modification in the treatment of heart failure

Abstract

There is a new treatment mechanism entering our armoury of available therapies for chronic heart failure - slowing of HR by ivabradine. It seems that slowing of HR is benefition for HR more than 70/min., the optimal targed value being approximately 60/min.
