In the group of preeclampsia (PE), significantly more women suffer from obesity, when compared with control group; other parameters (age, parity) did not differ. PE group expresses significantly higher number of women with positive ACLA and elevated TI-CMI in copmarison with the control group.
Serum IgG was elevated and C4 complement component was lowered in women from PE group. Other parameters did not differ significantly.
We conclude that both elevated autoimmune reactivity (represented by ACLA) and higher immune sensitivity to trophoblast (represented by TI-CMI) can contribute to the onset of preeclampsia.
