Higher tobacco taxes = lower health care costs, while higher state income - will we understand it in the Czech Republic? European Union project TobTaxy

Abstract

Increased taxes on tobacco products would lead to a reduction in their sales, but also due to higher tax revenue to increased state income - up to a pack of cigarettes cost about 10 euros (now worth an average of around 3 euros). EU project TobTaxy should promote this awareness.
