Abstract

Publication deals with the complex contemporary perspective on the issue of renal cell carcinoma from the urologic, oncologic and multimodal therapy view. Introductory chapters deal with epidemiology of renal cell cancer, taking into account the incidence of the Czech leadership in the world, etiological factors involved in the development of renal tumors, particular issue of genetics and histopathology of renal tumors are analyzed in detail.

The book includes comprehensive chapter on surgical treatment of renal cancer, including the most difficult tumor thrombus surgery. Also there is not omitted an experimental miniinvasive surgical treatment.

The conclusion is summarized multimodal view of a patient with generalized renal cell carcinoma involving cytoreductive nephrectomy, metastasectomy and including the timing of treatment and prognostic factors.
