An objective exploration of neurobiological activity represents a wide application area covered by numerous approaches. An overview, presented in this contribution, focus to principles and spatio-temporal properties of the most used methods in brain/mind studies.
A closer look is provided in widely used non-invasive techniques of the functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, the electroencephalography and the event related cortical potentials. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Deep Brain stimulation and modern Optogenetics technique are mentioned as an interfering approach to a neural activity.
A frequency of usage together with methods’ limitations are discussed in the end.
