Abstract
The article compares the way of thinking about social reality by the German philosopher Georg Simmel and Czech Economist Josef Kaizl. It focuses on the concepts the authors use to approach social reality.
By G. Simmel the emphasis is put on his affiliation with the way of thinking about the society by Max Weber and his use of concepts as ideal-typical constructions enabling to read and structure the reality.
