"Happy woman!" About Reading and not Reading The Grandmother

Abstract

The article focuses on the most popular books of Czech literatury, The Grandmother by Božena Němcová. The author discusses the results of qualitative study using interview of the students and analysis of book-content notes.

The article also offers the posibility of slightly different way of approaching The Grandmother analysis. It presents several methods to motivace students so as to understand both The Grandmother and writer Božena Němcová.
