From the late 1930s to the early 1950s the economic order in the Czech Lands underwent a transition form the market ekonomy to the Soviet-type ekonomic planning. The study examines this process of tranformation by combining the state steering aspirations and the economic regulatory policy with the perpective of the enterprises.
In this way not only the economic stakeholders are focused, but also, for the first time in the research, the functioning of the war economy in the Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia and of the economic system of the Czechoslovak people's democracy after 1945 and the respective different courses of action of the enterprises.
