What do you need to establish the legitimate existence of a nationality in Central Europe where the competition of national minorities is extremely strong? A name that is proven to be ancient, a language that is sufficiently different from the others (best if it has its own dictionary of encyclopedia and a language that has been codified); avant-garde organizations and intellectuals who struggle for the recognition of the minority and permit the definition of its rights; and last but not least, people who belong to it. In each of these aspects, the "Revival of the Rusyns" after 1990 seems to be very successful.
But, is it really a "revival"?
