Abstract
The artickel descriebes the history of the gymnasium in Jičín, founded in 1623-24 by Albrecht of Wallenstein (Valdštejn), till to the Abolition of the Jesuit Order in 1773. Main atention is devoted to the administration oand institutional development of the gymnasium and its suffestions to the development of education in East Bohemia.
