A Nearly Forgotten Translation of the New Testament (A Contribution to the 40th Anniversary of the death of Czech Bible Scholar Rudolf Col

Abstract

The task of the article is to commemorate and in detail introduce the translation work of the outstanding Czech Catholc Biblical scholar and professor of the Cyrillo-Methodian Theological Faculty in Olomouc, Rudolf Col (1902-1964). The article helps to illustrate the shape of Czech translations of NT texts in the 20th century in genral too (up till now with a rather limited communication of biblical theology and theories of translation).
