Abstract
The article tries to systemize Barth’s concept of faith in his opus magnum on the basis of the trinitarian scheme, always in three steps as the whole work of God and the whole work of man. The faith as acknowledgement, knowledge and confession is the basic act of Christian existence, which has for the man both cognitive and creative site.
As God’s work on, in and with man ist the faith the foundation and the content of the whole life of a Christian. In this analogia fidei the faith as the gift of the Holy Spirit can be reflected always only retrospectively.
