Abstract
The article deals with the distribution of social roles in the Old Testament society. It reconstructs then society with the help of knowledge and methods of social and cultural anthropology.
This attitude completes and corrects some one-way results of standard historic-critical method of the Old Testament interpretation in the problem of social position of a woman.
