Abstract

Christianity (78%) is the typical religion in the United States. Muslims, Judaism a Buddhism fill 22% of population of the United States.

There are 67 milion of inhabitants, who are Catholics. There is also great part of Protestantism, although it is separated into Babtists, Pentecostal and Lutherans.

Religion is very important in their lifes. But there is also great belief to the state´s identity, which is called 'civil religion'.

Politics and religion are not separated. The U.S.

Constitution separates them, but they are linked in fact. The religion in the United States influences the foreign policy and rechristianization, where could be Christianity retreated.

The dimension of the religion can be visible for the people. Theologists in the United States hold an opinion, that religion and politics should be necessary to separate and the american dreams about ideal state will be illusion.

The U.S. Constitution must not be the religion.
